This is one of my favorite animation sequences that really inspired me into looking into motion graphics. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find out who the creator is or where it came from but from the top of my head came “Animated in Bed” which gave me the list and chosen this one to upload via you tube.

Doug Aitken:

I selected Doug Aitken because I was drawn into the idea of his modern choice of images of stop animation that all were related to a particular motion. I believe it fits in the Organic genre because of its photo-real feel and natural textures.

Doug Aitken: Sleepwalkers (60 Second Trailer),
1. The entire composition utilized the entire screen and used the negative space very well.
2. Mainly a composition of video and photographic snap shot of several people performing the same act making it an organic project.
3. The symbolic images of how one wakes up at sundown and walks around in their sleep.
4.  The timing of each sequence is impeccable and accurate to each step by step.
5. The choice of music should be okay. *No Audio output avalible*
6. To create a visually appealing video sequence to exhibit at the MoMA and advertise to get people to attend.
7. Meaning of this video is still obscure but mainly show that Manhattan has a multicultural and diverse group of people living in the city.

This was a unique article that taught me to look carefully on how to design a artistically pleasing type that will give a designer and edge to create a unique looking type. I find the break down of the points of how to make the type in a design work best. One must Read it first, know the voice of a type face, scaling the type, clarity of text, strong text, working towards illegibility, and to be different.

This is from the animated series of Cowboy Bebop Remix and the animations are unique how they transition between shapes and colors to give a vibrant feel of adventure.

I love how the simplicity of the characters shape and figures of the surrounding environment.
